Medicines
School staff do not administer medicines. The exception is asthma inhalers which are kept in a central area, but which children take themselves or, in the case of younger children, under adult supervision. Special arrangements are made for children who have a long term medical need.
Welfare
We have qualified First Aiders and a Welfare Officer on the staff who would deal in the first instance with any accidents. If your child is injured or ill during the day we will do our utmost to contact you. Therefore, it is imperative that the school has up-to-date contact numbers so you can be contacted during the school day. The school office must be informed if your phone number changes. If your child has had a head injury, you will receive a `Head Injury` letter.
Medicals
Routine medical inspections are carried out by the School Nurse. The School Nurse visits the school on request.
